All dogs are handsome dogs, but some photos don’t make the cut. While I have relaxed a lot on the regulations and don’t delete nearly as many submissions as I used to, here’s the list to follow as much as possible:
1. Your submission should have a caption.
2. Only quality photographs will be accepted. Blurry, grainy, or flashed images will be rejected.
3. Controversial topics are best to be avoided. This means no images of dogs with tape on their ears, visible prong collars, long nails, or giant chains.
4. Misrepresentation is a serious issue. Please do not call your dog a wolf unless you are certain they have some wolf content present. If you are uncertain about your dog’s breed, feel free to add “what do you think?” to your caption!
5. The subject of your image should be your dog. While I do accept images with people, other animals, and scenery involved, the main focus should be the dog’s face. Typically images are rejected if it’s the back of a dog, the dog is super far away, it’s mostly a person, or it is too much of a close up.
6. If you would like to try your luck at being reblogged, just use #handsomdogs on your own posts!
7. I do not post GoFundMe links. I receive multiple a week, it is impossible for me to authenticate them, and it is not fair to subject people to link after link of dogs in need every day. If I do reblog a GoFundMe link, it is because I trust the person and have no reason to believe it is a scam.
8. You may submit as many pictures, as often as you would like.
