I’m really glad that me posting it to tumblr and it getting circulated around was useful in saving your pup! It’s always scary being faced with an emergency situation, and having some quick knowledge of how to handle it, and the resources at hand can greatly increase the likelihood of your baby surviving an emergency situation! This is great news that it helped, but I’m sorry you had to go through something like this.
I just want you guys to know that I feel like I almost lost Kaeda the other day. I didn’t post about it because I was so emotional about it.
She was chewing on something and it sounded like she had to throw up. So I was just watching her, her back was towards me. Then I realized she’s NOT throwing up, she’s actually choking and can’t breath. She turns to me with her ears back and her tail flapping, she was VERY scared and turned to me for help. Because of an infographic like this, I was able to save her by tilting her head back and digging around for whatever was choking her. I think what helped her swallow it was tilting her head back because I didn’t feel anything in her throat.
I started tearing up because I can only imagine what was going through her head. She was SO SCARED. I’m about to tear up now just thinking about it.
