This is Luke. He is 12 years old and a black lab. I adopted him in May 2014 from a shelter in Upstate New York. My sister and I are advocates of adopting senior dogs and also have a 10-year-old German Shepherd/Border Collie mix that we adopted from the same shelter 2 years ago. Adopting senior dogs has been so rewarding that I don’t think I will ever not be able to adopt an old dog! My husband and I have 3 Rottweilers in Brazil and are thinking about opening a shelter/rescue for all unwanted animals in Manaus, Brazil. Consider adopting an older animal, they have tons of love left to give 🙂
