My dogs has had a major personality change seemingly over night. She’s gone from a very needy lap dog to not responding when being called and not really being interested in interacting with anyone at all. She’s not showing any signs of distress and doesn’t seem to be in pain, I don’t even know what I’d tell the vet the reason for visiting was if I decided it was a neccisary step. Has anyone experienced something similar or even heard of it?

Take her to the vet. Any sudden change of personality you can’t explain should be checked out by a vet. 

Just tell your vet that your dog isn’t acting like herself. Vets are more trained at noticing signs of discomfort than most people so they might see something you missed. 

And honestly anon, I think it’s better to go to the vet and find out there’s nothing wrong than to wait it out and find out you should have gone to the vet.
