Sounds like you need to socialize your pup with others, first, before bringing a new dog home. Having play dates with other dogs will help you get to know your dog’s preferences. Every dog is different, some dogs hate puppies, some dogs hate others of the same sex, some dogs shouldn’t be around tiny dogs, some dogs don’t like bigger dogs, and some dogs just love everyone. It doesn’t have much to do with their breed or gender, just their personality. Make sure she doesn’t feel the need to guard her food around others, too, that might not be something you want to even deal with. But ultimately you are the one who will have to figure out who the best companion will be, if anyone at all.
I have a medium dog. I feel that sometimes she is lonely so I want to get another dog so that she isn’t lonely. But the thing is my dog really likes food so I’m worried she will not like another dog. Also since my dog is a girl should I get a girl or boy dog, or should I get another dog at all? Should I get a medium dog or a smaller dog?
