If no one is home to let him out, maybe ask a friend? Or try to take a break from work to rush home real quick? I wouldn’t recommend pee pads because you are encouraging him to eliminate in your home. Yes, you’re giving him a special place to pee, but either he can potty in the house or he can’t. Crating may be a solution, but 9 hours is a long time.
My Boy gets left to himself for a good 8-9 hours while I’m at work, and more and more he’s been peeing in the house while I’m gone. My mom is starting to get really upset, even though I clean up thoroughly. I can’t afford to have someone come every day to let him out, and I don’t think it’s fair to get frustrated with him since he can’t get out to pee. I’ve heard small apartment dogs sometimes use indoor pee spots like puppy pads, is it abnormal for a large dog to have one? What can I do? D:
- A winter ready Buddy!
- Tuckered out after all their Christmas gifts!
