You know the saying “you can’t keep a good dog down” well that describes Lucky to a tee!! Lucky is one AMAZING dog!! She was found in a ditch in the Dominican crying out in pain. She was paralyzed and doctors believed she’d never walk again. I’m her foster mom and a massage therapist, I’ve been working with her and have been able to get her to stand briefly on her own. She has also started using her left leg to push off with while she drags herself. I strongly believe she will at least have use of 3, of her legs and I’m hoping for a 4th but not certain yet as to what extent. I believe Lucky would greatly benefit from Hydrotherapy. She’s incontinent and requires someone who will learn her cues when she needs to go outside because your time is very limited to get her out. She wears diapers however there hard to keep on her when she’s dragging herself around because boy can this girl move.
Lucky would LOVE to be in a home with children and/or another dog. She’s extremely happy, loving, playful and gentle. She does require more care and attention then your typical dog but I promise you, she’ll love you even more for all you do for her. You can’t help but fall in love with this girl and quickly. There’s proof of this because boy does she have a lot of admirers.
