Amy

Homeless Pets Foundation Marietta, GA

“On “death row” at Fulton Co. animal shelter, she was all skin and bones, had a case of heartworm and had fur coming out in tufts.

Amy is around 2 years young and has made a fantastic recovery. She’s a solid 60 pounds now and her glossy, silver-blue coat is the envy of all her friends. She’s spayed and micro-chipped too. She is taking treatment for heartworms but we’ll continue to pay for that monthly pill until a simple blood test (also at our expense) shows she’s rid of them. Heartworm is caused by mosquitoes, shows no outward signs, isn’t contagious and is curable.

While Amy is excellent around humans of all ages, she does not like other dogs in her space so her home will have to be otherwise dog-free.
